Sgema is pleased to announce that the employability hub, developed in conjunction with all Welsh universities and funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales, has won the national AGCAS Award for Excellence for Building Effective Partnerships. This recognition celebrates our collaborative work in developing the e-Hub, an online resource supporting students from groups less likely to attend university. As part of this project, Sgema executed an integrated media campaign, including toolkits and social media posts across various platforms, to ensure widespread engagement and support.

Comments from the judges:

‘This commendable partnership is clearly having a transformative impact on students and graduates. The scale of collaboration across multiple institutions and the digital aspect are truly impressive.’

Launched in December 2023, the e-Hub, accessible through employability.wales and cyflogadwyedd.cymru, bridges academia and the professional world, offering essential career tools. It empowers students to confidently transition from university to their professional fields.

We look forward to continuing our work with universities in Wales in maintaining the e-Hub, ensuring it remains relevant and up-to-date, as it evolves and grows, providing invaluable support to students. You can read the full awards press release on the AGCAS website.
